Cherry Cheese Cake Recipe with Fresh Cherries From Scratch Crust: • 5 tablespoons melted butter • 1 1/4 cups graham cracker crumbs • 1/4 cup granulated sugar Filling: • 4 packages (8 ounces each) cream cheese, softened • 1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk • 4 eggs • 1/3 cup all-purpose flour • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract Topping: • 2 cups pitted fresh cherries • 1 cup sugar Preparation: Combine ingredients for crust. Place in 9″ coated spring form pan Whip room temperature cream cheese Add flour and vanilla Add condensed milk Combine until creamy Add eggs one at a time Pour over crust in pan Bake for 1 hour at 325 degrees with a pan with 1/2 inch water on bottom of oven NOTE: This recipe showed a perfect top with no cracking! Cool and refrigerate cake overnight Simmer cherries with sugar for 1 hour minutes. Reduce heat and cool to room temperature and pour over cake.

These are the requirements it must have,
Only uses brown sugar
No liquer
No exotic recipes (only the simpliest)
Only one layer

Chocolate Cake

2 cups flour
2 eggs
2 cups sugar
2 tsp. baking soda
2/3 cup cocoa
1 cup milk
1 cup oil
1 cup HOT water

Mix all ingredients together with electric mixer. Batter will be thin.
Spray 9×13 inch baking pan with cooking spray.

Bake at 350 degrees for 30-40 minutes.
Cupcakes….bake at 350 degrees for 22-24 minutes.

*i couldnt find one with just brown sugar but maybe substitute the white sugar with brown ?

Zesting a lemon in ridiculously easy and any lemon cake recipe is going to require it in some form. The zest is basically the bright yellow part of the rind. First, wash and scrub it with warm, soapy water. Rinse and dry well. Then (assuming you don’t have a zester), take a grater or peeler and carefully take off just the bright outer layer of the skin. If your recipe calls for grated lemon zest, it’s even easier. Just use the finest side to grate the lemon. Don’t go too far in one spot though. The white part of the skin in bitter.

Mix together the flour, baking powder and salt; set aside. 2.In a large bowl, cream sugar and shortening until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, beating thoroughly after each addition. Add flour mixture alternately with milk, beating just to combine mix in cookie crumbs. finally, stir in vanilla. Pour batter into the prepared pan. 3.Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 40 to 45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the cake comes out clean. Frost and enjoy.

Ingredients

1 cups sugar
1/4 teaspoons salt
1/4 cup shortening
1 large egg
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1 1/2 cups flour
1/2 tablespoons baking powder
3/4 cups milk

Directions

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Grease and dust with flour a single 9-inch round cake pan for a single layer cake. Dust two if you are doubling the recipe for a layer cake.

1. Cream the sugar, salt, and shortening together. Add the egg and beat until light and fluffy. Add the vanilla.
2. In another bowl, mix the flour and baking powder together.
3. Add about one-third of the dry ingredients to the creamed mixture and mix briefly. Add about one-third of the milk and mix. Continue twice more with the remaining flour and milk. Do not over mix. Scrape the batter into the pan.
4. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until the cake tests done with a toothpick.
5. Let the cake rest in the pan for about five minutes and then remove it to a wire rack to continue cooling.

I’d like to make a carrot cake (or carrot cake cupcakes), and I’m having a lot of trouble finding a good recipe online. Can anyone offer any suggestions, preferably from a recipe that YOU have made before, that way I know how it will turn out? Also, if anyone could find the Cheesecake Factory’s Carrot Cake recipe (NOTE: not the carrotCHEESEcake recipe, which I have found online), that would be absolutely awesome!

I notice that a lot of them have raisins and crushed pineapple in there. Is that the normal for carrot cakes? Will it taste like pineapple? If I do go with a recipe that has pineapple in it, should I strain it, or leave it in some of the packing liquid (it’s not syrup, it’s natural juice)?

INGREDIENTS
4 eggs
1 1/4 cups vegetable oil
2 cups white sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking soda
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
3 cups grated carrots
1 cup chopped pecans (optional)

1/2 cup butter, softened
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
4 cups confectioners’ sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup chopped pecans
DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 9×13 inch pan.

In a large bowl, beat together eggs, oil, white sugar and 2 teaspoons vanilla. Mix in flour, baking soda, baking
powder, salt and cinnamon. Stir in carrots. Fold in pecans. (if using) Pour into prepared pan.

Bake in the preheated oven for 40 to 50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean. Let cool in pan for 10 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack and cool completely.

To Make Frosting: In a medium bowl, combine butter, cream cheese, confectioners’ sugar and 1 teaspoon vanilla. Beat until the mixture is smooth and creamy. Stir in chopped pecans. Frost the cooled cake.

With the recipe I’m going to give you for my cake…wrapping isn’t a problem…it’s absolutely delicious and makes a nice presentation….

another idea is to cut cakes up in sections to give them a selection of cakes and wrap and put in small gift baskets or tins from dollar store with a big ribbon wrapped around it. If there are teachers aides…remember them by giving them a whisk filled with red and green Hershey kisses all tucked into it..wrap in clear cello wrap and put a ribbon bow and a sign saying “We whisk you a Merry Kiss-mas”.

Here’s my recipe for the best tasting cinnamon coffee cake :
Oven 350^
Dry Ingredients:
2 cups flour
1 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. baking powder

Wet ingredients:
1 cup soft butter
3/4 cup sugar>>>beat these 2 for 2 min together and add 1/2 cup dry mix to this along with 3 eggs, 1 cup sour cream and 2 tsp. vanilla. Add rest of dry ingredients

GREASE Bundt pan–dust w/flour, add batter

NOW make swirl:
1 TAB. warm water
2 TAB. melted butter
1 tsp. instant coffee
3 tsp. sugar

DRIZZLE all over the batter>>use butter knife to swirl into batter carefully

NOW make topping to add on top of that:
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup butter
1/2 TAB. instant coffee……mix this into coarse crumbs and sprinkle on top of batter

BAKE 40 min >>check at 35 min. FOR nice presentation, when cooled and on plate, dust with powdered sugar and fill “hole” with vanilla coffee beans for wonderful aroma!!

1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cup white sugar
1 cup butter, softened
4 eggs
2 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cup milk
4 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder

Directions
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour 2- 9 inch round pan.
2. Place flour, baking powder, salt, sugar, butter or margarine, eggs, vanilla, and milk into mixing bowl. Beat slowly to moisten, then beat with an electric mixer at medium speed for about 2 minutes until smooth. Reserve 3/4 cup batter; pour the remainder into pan.
3. Stir cocoa into the 3/4 cup reserved batter. Drop by spoonfuls over top of white batter. Using a knife, swirl the cocoa batter into the white batter to incorporate it in a marble effect.
4. Bake in preheated oven for 30 to 35 minutes, until an inserted wooden pick comes out clean.
